Essential Job Duties (Most Complex Responsibilities)

  • Lead and oversee collections and cash application teams, managing performance, workflow distribution, coaching, and professional development.
  • Develop and execute collection strategies to reduce aged accounts receivable, improve cash realization, and support firm financial objectives.
  • Partner with attorneys, clients, and finance leadership to resolve complex collection issues, payment disputes, e-billing challenges, and delinquent accounts.
  • Analyze accounts receivable portfolios, aging trends, payment patterns, and collection risks, providing recommendations on escalations, payment arrangements, write-offs, and third-party collections.
  • Oversee the accurate and timely application of cash receipts, including checks, wires, ACH payments, and trust/escrow-related transactions.
